Partner: Government of Yukon
This project supports building Yukon’s cancer surveillance and analytics capabilities while contributing to pan-Canadian cancer control priorities. This project will:
- Advance Yukon’s cancer surveillance and evaluation through developing and implementing a territory-specific surveillance plan, which will inform Yukon’s cancer care priorities and address data needs identified by the Yukon First Nations Cancer Care Project
- Support development of data governance protocols aligned with self-governing Yukon First Nations priorities
- Contribute to and identify national efforts, including pan-Canadian efforts to advance measurement and reporting on access, experience and outcomes and identifying opportunities for cancer data improvements

Partner: Northwest Territories Health and Social Services
This project supports building Northwest Territories’ cancer surveillance and analytics capabilities while contributing to pan-Canadian cancer control priorities. This project will:
- Advance Northwest Territories’ cancer surveillance through a territory-specific enhancement plan, including collecting and reporting on qualitative and quantitative indicators
- Collect and report data on cancer incidence and mortality, lead the development of cancer care program indicator reports, analyze and interpret patient satisfaction survey results, and prepare public facing infographics of indicators, data sets, and/or patient survey results
- Contribute to national efforts, including supporting pan-Canadian efforts to advance measurement and reporting on access, experiences and outcomes and identifying opportunities for cancer data improvements
- Support the evaluation of other Partnership initiatives such as HPV screening projects

Partner: Manitoba Métis Federation
This project aims to improve culturally relevant, distinctions-based cancer care within Red River Métis communities in Manitoba and implement the priorities of the Red River Métis Cancer Strategy by:
- Improving awareness of and access to cancer prevention and screening programs
- Reducing navigational barriers affecting the cancer care journey for Red River Métis
- Exploring pathways to equitable Red River Métis representation in cancer research
- Reinforcing the existing partnership with CancerCare Manitoba to ensure delivery of culturally safe care for Red River Métis
Partner: Kenora Chiefs Advisory
This initiative leverages data to support cancer screening and culturally grounded care for nine First Nations communities. It aims to improve screening participation and integration of First Nations wellness practices into cancer care by:
- Enhancing an electronic solution (First Nation Client Registry) that can track breast, cervical, and colorectal screening, eligibility and participation, offers culturally appropriate reminders and follow-ups, and enables the use of First Nations-governed health data for improved planning
- Developing a knowledge exchange network with Treaty #3 communities interested in replicating similar reporting tools to support cancer screening reporting
- Holding traditional medicine camps to provide educational sessions and support knowledge transfer from Elders to youth
- Establishing guidance on traditional medicine cultivation, distribution, and storage (e.g. traditional medicine pharmacies)
- Facilitating collaborative initiatives between mainstream and traditional practices
