This bylaw regulates the subdivision or consolidation or land in the City of Summerside. It requires that, for parcels of land greater than one acre in size and that are being subdivided into residential building lots, the developer must reserve a certain percentage of land for open space, recreation or park use.
All development, including existing land uses, buildings, and structures within the City of Summerside, must be in compliance with this bylaw. This bylaw governs recreational land uses and facilities, including swimming pools and regulates permitted land uses for liquor stores and licensed establishments in the city.
This bylaw aims to protect parks within the City of Summerside and prohibits the destruction of trees and greenery, water pollution, and liquor consumption (except at licensed special events).
This bylaw prohibits taxi drivers in the City of Summerside from picking up or delivering alcoholic beverages as well as consuming said beverages or having them in possession while operating a cab.
This bylaw governs city sewage collection and treatment and water distribution and purification. It prohibits the discharge of the following substances (among others) into sanitary sewers: gasoline, benzene, naphtha, trichloroethylene, formaldehyde, pesticides, herbicides, arsenic, cadmium, nickel, and lead.
