This bylaw governs municipal waste collection and disposal in Saint John. It indicates that the City is not responsible for the collection of batteries, infectious waste, chemical or petrochemical waste, herbicides, pesticides, solvents, radioactive materials, or any dangerous waste (as identified under the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act S.N.B. 1988).

Saint John Bylaw C.P. 1212 – Subdivision Bylaw

This bylaw prohibits the construction of subdivisions that involve more than 10 lots unless the Developer commits to ensuring that: (1) it will have no adverse effect on local water supply; (2) the soil is suitable for on-site sewage and disposal systems; and, (3) it will be capable of handling the expected traffic of the subdivision. 

Saint John Bylaw M-16 – A Bylaw Respecting Water and Sewerage
