Better care experiences during and after treatment

High-quality cancer treatment goes beyond clinical excellence. It includes timely access to care, support after treatment, culturally safer services, and care designed to be accessible, equitable and appropriate to people’s circumstances.

In 2024–25, CPAC worked with partners across the country to strengthen care during and after treatment, expand palliative and psychosocial supports and improve the quality and consistency of care delivery. From personalized survivorship models and fertility preservation services for young people to new virtual care and patient navigation programs and national standards for radiation data, these efforts are helping transform cancer care in Canada into a more connected, equitable and responsive system.
