How to search the database

How to search the Cancer Guidelines Database, an online resource for healthcare providers, administrators, and policy-makers.

The Cancer Guidelines Database contains approximately 1,000 cancer guidelines. Access quality cancer guidelines from a single source.

Keyword search

You can search the database’s records by keyword or text. You can also specify where to search:

  • Title – will return records with the keyword in the guideline title
  • Database record – will return records with the keyword in any part of the indexed guideline record (i.e., title, developer, author(s), description, keyword terms)
  • Guideline text – will return records with the keyword in the guideline full text (note: access to full-text guidelines for users/visitors is limited to those that are open access)
  • All – will return records with the keyword in any part of the database record and text

Advanced search

Refine your search further by selecting filters in the following categories:

  • Cancer site
  • Cancer continuum
  • Location
  • Publication year

Submit records

We encourage guideline developers to submit their cancer control guideline or standard to the Partnership for possible inclusion in the Cancer Guidelines Database. Please contact us for more information. To learn more about our assessment process including inclusion/exclusion criteria.
