Cancer screening in Canada: Overview of screening participation for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer (2015)

Read this report to learn about participation in both programmatic and non-programmatic screening across Canada for breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer

This January 2015 report compares programmatic participation rates with self-reported utilization rates for cancer screening methods such as mammograms, Pap tests, fecal tests and endoscopies.

As well, the report supports the Partnership’s goal of increasing screening which follows guidelines, while decreasing screening which falls outside of guidelines.

The Partnership seeks to understand general screening practices across the country. The goal is to better understand the reasons why some Canadians do not participate and to help improve participation in screening for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer.
