Supporting the cancer journey
Person-centred cancer care emphasizes the overall well-being of the cancer patient — including attention to psychological, social, spiritual, informational, practical, physical and emotional needs — rather than focusing solely on treating the tumour or the disease site.
The Person-Centred Care Toolkit is a compilation of resources that offer support to people living with cancer, and to advocates, health-care teams and others working in cancer care.
The resource comprises four key documents, each offering support to cancer patients and advocates, and to volunteers and health-care teams who work with cancer patients.
