Aslam Bhatti, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

Aslam Bhatti joined the Partnership in June 2009 from Alberta, where he was Vice-President, Operations, with the Alberta Cancer Board from 2003 to 2008, then Interim Chief Operating Officer, Health Strategy, Research and Design, with the successor organization, Alberta Health Services.

Mr. Bhatti’s career combines strong financial leadership with rich experience in the health sector. With the Alberta Cancer Board, he was instrumental in securing a $500-million endowment to further Alberta’s cancer control agenda. He also spent more than 20 years with the Government of Alberta in key financial roles, including that of  Assistant Deputy Minister, Finance and Health Plan Administration, with the Ministry of Alberta Health from 1988 to 2000. In 2000, he became Chief Operating Officer for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta.
