Laura M. Talbot

Laura M. Talbot is president and senior partner of TalbotAllan Consulting. She is currently on the boards and committees of the Ontario Health Quality Council (Treasurer), the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (Vice-Chair), Desjardins Financial Security Life Insurance Co., the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Canadian Accounting Standards Oversight Council.

Ms. Talbot participates on a number of volunteer boards and has served as Chair for the Information and Communication Standards Development Committee (Health Care Accessibility Act Ontario). She previously held senior executive roles with the University of Waterloo, the federal government, the Canadian Red Cross, several Canadian utilities and Bank One International (Canada).

Ms. Talbot has an MBA from studies at the universities of Ottawa and Manitoba. She is a certified management accountant (Quebec Order) and recently completed the Institute of Corporate Directors ICD.D designation. She is also an FCMA, a designation given to CMAs who make an exceptional contribution to their profession and their community.

Ms. Talbot lives in Kingston, Ontario.
