Elisabeth Wagner

Elisabeth Wagner is the executive director, research knowledge translation and library services, health system planning division, British Columbia Ministry of Health Services. Prior to that, she worked in both policy development and program delivery in various ministries in British Columbia and other provinces. She has broad experience developing policy and delivery of child-care and labour-market programs and has frequently led the mobilization of new initiatives.

Born on the Canadian prairies, Ms. Wagner is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan (Regina) and has worked for provincial governments, an intergovernmental affairs secretariat and as a management consultant.

In her capacity as Executive Director of Corporate Policy and Research, Ms. Wagner is responsible for shaping policy affecting the B.C. health-care system. She also supports other parts of the health services ministry in their policy work, manages patient experience surveys on behalf of the province’s six health authorities, provides policy reviews on emerging technologies, and facilitates the conduct and use of research in decision-making.

Ms. Wagner is based in Victoria.
