Chair, Screening Advisory Group; Provincial Lead, Public Health, Cancer Care Ontario
Dr. Mai is the Chair of the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer’s Screening Advisory Group and Provincial Lead, Public Health at Cancer Care Ontario.
She is a medical graduate the University of Alberta and completed her specialty training in community medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Mai worked as Medical Officer of Health at the Elgin-St. Thomas Health Unit and Associate Medical Officer of Health and Director of Education and Research at the Middlesex-London Health Unit, prior to joining CCO in 1998.
She was Chair of the national committee for the Canadian Breast Cancer Screening Initiative from 2000 to 2003. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences, University of Toronto, and has research interests in cancer screening and population health.
Dr. Mai is also a member of the Partnership’s Cancer Guidelines Advisory Group.
